At garage sales, here’s a crucial tip:

Many sellers often display signs with listed values from eBay. However, be cautious, as most of those are merely listed prices, not actual sales figures. To uncover the genuine value, utilize eBay’s Advanced Search feature. Click on the Advanced tab in the upper right corner, input your keywords, select "Completed and Sold Items," and click Search. This will reveal the actual selling prices. If you feel compelled to put up a sign, ensure it reflects what items genuinely sell for on eBay.

This approach will undoubtedly enhance your sales. If I attend a garage sale with reasonable pricing but find an item that’s slightly higher, I’ll still consider purchasing it if there’s potential for profit. If your aim is to declutter, display the sold amount on eBay alongside the item and reduce the price accordingly. This strategy could lead to bulk offers for specific items. However, if you possess a special collection hoping to attract collectors, it’s best to maintain your price.
