Let’s keep it straightforward, shall we? Whether you aim to achieve something in the upcoming year (or perhaps tomorrow, next week, or three weeks from now), a shift in mindset is essential.

Beginning, persisting, and completing any task all hinge on your attitude. You may be among the many who feel that resolutions are futile. I understand; I’ve been there too.

In a moment of rebellion against New Year's resolutions, I embarked on the 75Hard challenge on Christmas Day. (I’ll elaborate on that journey in the weeks ahead.) If you’re familiar with 75Hard, you recognize that it emphasizes mental resilience. This brings us back to our discussion about mindset, focus, intention, and — dare I suggest? — optimism.

I’ve devised a unique 12-step strategy to enhance my efforts, and I’m sharing it with you, completely free of charge. My challenge to you is to print these steps and review them daily. Place them somewhere visible: on your bathroom mirror, refrigerator, or even on your partner’s forehead.

Each month, focus on a single, concise statement. Dedicate a mere five seconds each day to read that month’s affirmation.

If you’re ambitious, consider reading it multiple times throughout the day. For those who like to push their limits, close your eyes and silently repeat the statement while taking deep, calming breaths. You’ve got this. I believe in you.

January:

I vow to cultivate such strength that nothing can disrupt my peace of mind.

February:

I commit to spreading messages of health, happiness, and prosperity to everyone I encounter.

March:

I promise to help each person I meet recognize their inherent worth.

April:

I resolve to focus on the positive aspects of life and turn my optimism into reality.

May:

I pledge to think positively, strive for excellence, and anticipate the best outcomes.

June:

I promise to celebrate the achievements of others with as much enthusiasm as my own.

July:

I commit to leaving past mistakes behind and striving for greater future accomplishments.

August:

I vow to maintain a cheerful demeanor and share smiles with every living being I meet.

September:

I promise to dedicate enough time to my self-improvement that I have no time for criticizing others.

October:

I commit to being too grand for worry, too noble for anger, too strong for fear, and too joyful to allow trouble to invade my life.

November:

I promise to hold myself in high regard and express this through meaningful actions rather than boastful words.

December:

I vow to live with the belief that the universe supports me as long as I remain true to my best self.
