A Writer's Plea: The Impact of Suspension on Creativity

Chapter 1: A Disturbing Situation
Recently, one of my friends faced a troubling experience—she was suspended from Medium. As a talented writer, this has left her feeling quite disheartened. In an attempt to seek assistance, she reached out to Buster Benson via Facebook but has yet to receive a response. We are all hopeful that by sharing her story on Medium, she might regain access to her account. Here's what she has to say.
I have been writing on Medium for approximately seven months, and it has evolved into my personal digital diary. I actively and passionately contribute to the platform.
As a student pursuing STEM subjects, Medium serves as a refuge for me to express my artistic and creative inclinations. I also became a Friend of Medium (FOM) to support the incredible writers whose work I admire.
It deeply saddens me that I have been suspended, especially since I have not engaged in any form of automation or fraudulent activity. I strive to adhere to Medium’s guidelines and have reached out multiple times to their support team, but I am still awaiting a response.
I have formed wonderful friendships through Medium, connecting with talented writers worldwide who have graciously read my stories and provided valuable feedback. Several of my pieces have even been featured in respected publications.
Buster Benson, I am writing with the hope that my account will be reassessed and reinstated soon. My intention is to continue sharing my thoughts with a broader audience. I have explored significant global issues, personal experiences, my writing journey, and even some poems that were once confined to my diaries.
Additionally, I initiated a writing challenge on Education Day, recognized by UNESCO on January 24, 2024. The theme was "Learning for Lasting Peace," and many of my talented Medium colleagues participated. Throughout, I aimed to spread positivity and inspiration through my writing.
Losing my digital diary and the incredible community of like-minded individuals would be devastating. I have countless ideas waiting to be shared, and I kindly ask you to review my account manually and consider my stories.
It would mean so much if you could revisit your decision and restore my account. I would be forever grateful!
